Question: What happens after your motions are filed in your Savannah DUI case?
Answer: After we do that if we have to have a hearing on that, the judge will set a hearing for the motions. We can have that. Those are great; those are like a little mini-trial that gives us a chance to hear, usually for the first time, what the officers are going to say in court. And that gives us a way to look for any contradictions, to kind of confine them in with their statements, to get them on the record. And a lot of times at a motion to suppress hearing, we’ll have it and actually have the mini-trial and the case will be dismissed right from the start.
