Question: What does it mean to file a motion in a Georgia DUI case?
Answer: I’ve never seen a DUI yet that there weren’t some motions to be filed. And when I say that, it means that I do a thorough review of their evidence and what they claim they have against you and then I look at it try to find ways to dismiss some or all of it. And what I do a lot of times is file a motion to suppress to get rid of as much of it as possible. And if I can weaken their case enough right form the very start, a lot of times we can prevent the case from happening at all. It’s really the best way to try to stop the case before it ever gets started.
